Office Depot Concept

For this installation, I was tasked with creating the most aspirational experience for a shopper at Office Depot. This was initially presented as what True Innovations can bring as a retail partner for Office Depot and has developed into a new wayfinding and product information system for the stores.

Signage Experience

Signage was designed considering the shopper's experience from big to small, directing them through the store to defined brand sections with an individual story that fits into the overall Office Depot system. Then, collection-specific for desk and chair settings. From there, the specifications for an individual item at the large sign size, then to the hang tag for that item.

Hangtag System

Hangtags themselves follow a system as well, from incredibly detailed on larger tags to quick-glance information on smaller tags. Tags can be layered to add more information and depth, like 'New Item' or a full Swatch Card. Premium items have a delicate vellum overlay on a mid-scale informational tag with detailed photography.

Discover more

The underlying concept, in addition to ease of direction and information gathering, is to direct customers to more options available on Office Depot's website. This is reinforced on every tag with a QR code taking the customer to the website. Computer stations for each brand invite customers to shop that entire catalog. Centralized 3D space planning and catalog shop computers help customers find their perfect chair and plan their entire workspace.

From concept to completion

Initial concept renderings were presented to the Office Depot team. Elements from these can be seen translated into the final design installation.

Curious about the story behind the work? I'd love to share my passion for brand strategy with you.
